Elia Renteria-Garcia has spent her career helping people navigate difficult systems, supporting survivors and families, and building partnerships that turn community needs into action.
Her experience includes the Orange County Family Justice Center, the Anaheim Police Department, and nonprofit leadership focused on food access, community services, and economic opportunity.
She is running to make City Hall work the same way: bring services closer, open doors to opportunity, and follow through.
Meet Elia
A career spent helping people find a way forward.
Elia began serving others as a teenager, helping women experiencing domestic violence. Her work grew into victim advocacy, 15 years at the Orange County Family Justice Center, service with the Anaheim Police Department, and leadership across nonprofit and community partnerships.
Throughout her career, she has worked alongside families, seniors, young people, businesses, public agencies, and community organizations to solve problems and connect people with resources.
Elia believes leadership starts with listening and is measured by whether people can actually reach help and see results.

Why I’m Running
Too many residents hear that help exists but still cannot reach it, understand it, or get a clear answer.
Seniors need accessible transportation and easier access to services. Families need real pathways to stable income. Unhoused residents need care before another crisis. Students need stronger connections to schools, libraries, internships, trades, and local careers.
Elia is running to make City Hall more accessible, transparent, and accountable, so public services produce results residents can see.

Five practical priorities. One standard: results people can see
Accessible transportation and services for seniors. Prevention and direct care for unhoused residents. Shared kitchens, training, and financing for local entrepreneurs. Transparent budgets and responsible public-safety funding. Stronger partnerships with schools, libraries, employers, and community organizations.
These are practical steps Anaheim can start, measure honestly, and improve with residents at the table.
